2012 is to raise $1000 more than my personal contribution but to also
get others involved in this wonderful charity.

Harvest for Humanity
The mission of Harvest for Humanity is twofold. First, to build a new farming
model based on diversified niche crops that allow for year-round employment and
the ability to pay living wages resulting in the opportunity for employee stock
ownership with no-interest, no-profit loans. Second, to revitalize the targeted
urban area of rural Immokalee with owner-occupied housing that will help to end
the isolation of low-income households by creating a new mixed-income community.

Phoenix Children's Hospital
Phoenix Children's Hospital has provided hope, healing and the best
healthcare for children and families since 1983. Today, Phoenix Children's is
one of the ten largest children's hospitals in the country and provides
specialty and sub-specialty inpatient, outpatient, trauma, emergency and urgent
care to children and families in Arizona and throughout the Southwest.

Soles4Souls
Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes
from the warehouses of footwear companies and the closets of people like you.
The charity distributes these shoes to people in need, regardless of race,
religion, class, or any other criteria.

Our mission is to assist homeless, low-income and other disadvantaged
individuals in their efforts to become self-sufficient through permanent,
full-time employment.

ARA Gives Back - Previous Charity Events
December Member Appreciate and Charity Event - December 1st, 2011
Members and non-members joined together to celebrate another great year together. We socilized and brought in toys and stuffed animals to benefit PCH Toyland, The Phoenix Children's Hospital, and children in need. Thank you to all of those that helped us fill up Darrin Schenks car with wonderful gifts for the kids.
Phoenix Children's Hospital Happy Hour Charity Event - October 28th, 2011
The ARA board and several of our members got together for a great night of conversation, drinks, and food while touring the new Phoenix Children's Hospital facilities. The group was able to raise over $1,000 to benefit the hospital.
December Member Appreciation and Charity Event - December 2nd, 2010
We gathered once again to appreciate ARA members and their contributions to Arizona. We also asked attendees to donate shoes to donate to Soles4Souls. We gathered an impressive amount of donations that Cheryl Bilancia hand delivered to a very appreciative group. Thank you ARA!
